Privacy and analytics choices
Analytics is optional. Declining it does not stop you from browsing, connecting a wallet, bidding, or playing games.
What optional analytics measures
If you allow it, TrashBid sends selected events to PostHog Cloud in the European Union. These help us count visits, estimate unique visitors, see approximate countries, improve games, and understand whether game players use auctions and collections.
Events include page types, lobby and round progress, bot counts, active playing time, loading or connection problems, and whether a wallet is connected. Successful bids and collectible acquisitions are confirmed by our server. We use a random browser ID, visit ID, and random game IDs to link these events. The browser ID is not your wallet address.
We do not send wallet addresses, player names, chat text, invite tokens or full invite links, private cards, game secrets, or screen recordings. Page addresses are reduced to page types. For example, a wallet page is recorded as /wallet/:address. Country comes from our hosting network when available. We disable PostHog’s IP geolocation and do not put raw IP addresses in analytics events.
Storage and your choice
Your choice is stored in this browser for 180 days. After you allow analytics, we also store a random browser ID and a visit ID. A new visit begins after 30 minutes without activity. You can withdraw permission here. This clears these IDs, stops new collection, and asks our server to stop pending events for the old ID. An event already sent cannot be recalled by this browser control.
We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals. Blocking storage or analytics may mean your activity is not counted. Clearing storage or using another browser can count you again, so visitor counts are estimates. Only consenting activity is included.
PostHog’s free plan currently keeps analytics data for one year. See PostHog’s privacy information. Account, wallet, and gameplay records required to operate TrashBid are separate from this optional analytics choice.
